ERG Branding & Graphic Design

Why?

As a digital designer within the People team at Booking.com we had the privilege of supporting our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) in developing their brand identities. The one Iā€™m most proud of, and chose to display here is that of B.harmony, our ERG for our Asian and Pacific Islander staff.

What?

All ERGs at Booking.com only had one mandatory branding rule, the name must be B. (the short form for the Booking.com logo), followed by their ERG name. From there, it was up to that group to work with our team to establish their visual identity, including logos, Zoom backgrounds, video templates, and more.

How?

To start, I had a creative session with the B.harmony leads to identify what they thought of when they thought of their culture and heritage. After finding some inspirations for things like colour and shapes, I developed a series of draft logos they could choose from. The one shown here, was the unanimous choice for B.harmony as their logo.

The goal of this project was to work with our B.harmony ERG and develop their full brand identity to be used in communications, events, and collateral. To develop all these materials I used a mix of Adobe Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and After Effects to create logos and other templates such as Zoom backgrounds, video templates, and banners.

It was an immense privilege to support the B.harmony team in developing their brand identity. To ensure we were aligned, I worked on this project with an iterative design approach. Each step of the way I collected feedback and made improvements to the design. As seen in the image above, we iterated on the design several times to ensure the final product was something the B.harmony team could be proud of.
